Carved into the oak facade beam in 1607, this historic vintner's blessing still welcomes guests to our half-timbered house in the quiet wine village of Steeg near Bacharach.

Dating back to the early 17th century, our half-timbered house is nestled between steep Riesling vineyards and the medieval ruins of Castle Stahlberg. Over many years, we have restored the building with hands-on craftsmanship and deep respect for its history.

Our goal was to preserve the soul of this 400-year-old house—from exposed oak beams and original wattle-and-daub walls to a walkable glass floor above the vaulted wine cellar—while pairing it with modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and fast Wi-Fi.

Minimum Stay & Municipal Cultural Levy

The town of Bacharach levies a municipal cultural heritage contribution (Kulturförderbeitrag) of €1.00 per person per day (children under 3 are exempt).

• Children under 3 years of age stay free of charge in all apartments.
• Each additional guest beyond the base occupancy: +€25.00 per night.
• One-time final cleaning fee: €60.00 (Apartments 1 & 2) or €70.00 (Apartment 3).
• Bed linen, bath towels, Wi-Fi, electricity, and water are all included.
• Optional large BBQ grill on the sun terrace (Apartment 3): €15.00 one-time fee.
